I was surprised I liked it. I normally don't care for movies where the characters talk to the audience, but well...it's Amber and she's utterly charming. And OMG! Andy Halleck is SO adorable! Mine has a gouge in disk 1, and his had a gouge in disk 2. So I put the gouged ones together, thinking I'll just return the one. Well, for some reason Powerstar won't take it. I have to send it to Fox, and they said I had to wait 6 - 8 weeks for a replacement. Plus I pay for shipping it to them. I guess that's not so bad. It's just like I paid good money for this, ya know? Powerstar said to make sure it played all right, and it doesn't, but even if it did, I deserve a gouge free DVD, don't you think? I know it's not Powerstar's fault. It wasn't packaged right to begin with. The DVDs were sliding all around inside there. I think season 2 is my least favorite of Angel any way, but I still want it for my collection. So good luck if anyone gets damaged goods!!

This was also because they were poorly packaged and kept popping loose and sliding around in transit. My trusty DVD Dr. took care of the problem, but that's still pretty frustrating. (Surely it has nothing to do with the fact that maybe the DVD player won't play it cuz it's la grande fromage...) Keep the box. The picture art on the Season 5 DVD set. WTF!!, why is there no piccies of Amber, on these. Yes, in the episodes as we view them we have Amber and Tara and that is good. Of course this picture art was put together by the same 'brain surgeons' (dripping huge gobs of sarcasm) that put Spike's picture on the season 3 set (Hello, Helloooo, stoopid fricking idiot, Spike's in one fricking episode in season 3, did you have to train to be this stupid, cause if you were born this dumb how did you survive this long - hypothetical convo with this dumb**s) However, some of the Fox folks are really pretty nice, cause they made the trip in December to the L.A. Shrine Auditorium basement for the LA Comic/SF convention and sold Buffy DVD sets for $35, Xfile sets for $75 and Firefly sets for $25, and those are some pretty good prices. I finally called them, and guess what? They never got it. Did I insure it? No, I was too cheap. Well then, I'm out of luck. They can't replace it if they never got it! Funny how that was lost in the mail out of all the things that go through the mail. Am I thinking it's all a scam? That they "lose" them on purpose so people will have to buy more? It doesn't seem likely, does it. They didn't seem to have the best consumer relations attitude to me, but maybe I'm just cranky. So what do I do now? Go ahead and buy another one? It's not like I can boycott FOX, since they're the only ones who make the Buffy and Angel DVDs. I think I'll just wait and see if it miraculously appears some time in the near future. I suppose it's all my fault, but it still sucks. When some DVDs I ordered from Columbia House were lost, they promptly sent me replacements. Just a warning to anyone who gets stuck with the same problems I had. When they say insure it, they're probably right.

I'm a little disappointed that they didn't put the best "previously" on the DVD. That was the one they showed before the final episode. That was so cool, when they showed everyone's introductions from season 1 and then went faster and faster, showing a clip from every episode (I'm guessing.) They should have included that. The Roswell DVD has "previously" on every single episode, which is ridiculous, since obviously I have them all in the same DVD set! I would understand if they included the previous season, but every episode is kind of silly, don't you think? Any way, season 6 is currently scheduled to come out May 25, in case some of you don't know. Smallville comes out the week before. I have 3 DVDs to buy in June, Quantum Leap 1, Dead Like Me 1, and Dead Zone 2. Now I have 2 in August too, Sliders 1 and 2. I'm going to be broke if they keep coming out with good stuff like this. Well, I'll have to have something to watch when they cancel all the good shows! (Okay, 2 of the 4 I watch now are scheduled to return. We're still crossing our fingers on Tru Calling!)
