Andy has been filming the new season of Angel and now you can see him at BuffyFest! He will be joining the previously announced Adam Busch, Danny Strong, and Robin Sachs. Q & A with actor Jeff Ricketts will follow the screening. BuffyFest panelists will be Adam Busch (Warren - boo!), Danny Strong (Jonathan), Robin Sachs (Ethan Rayne), Andy Hallett (Lorne), and author Nancy Holder. Also appearing will be director James Contner, Sarah Hagan (Amanda), James Leary (Clem), and Mark Lutz (the Groosalugg). ...and there is a concert that evening with Common Rotation. We are excited to announce that Amber will be at the Chance booth in the Exhibit Hall during the day to sign items purchased at the event. More details to come. It seems that the good people of BuffyFest jumped the gun a bit. (Seems to be going on a lot these days.) I just spoke with Diane Benson and she asked me to pass this on to you. Apparently Diane had mentioned to her contact at BuffyFest that Amber might be attending, but that NO ONE should announce anything until Diane confirmed with Amber. As it turns out, Amber can not attend. She will not be at BuffyFest at all. In the rush to bring good news (and sometimes bad news) to the fans, premature announcements of things seem to be becoming more and more common. Go Leafs Go!

We prematurely announced that she would be in attendance signing copies of her film "Chance" and meeting fans, without final confirmation. Amber is extremely loyal and devoted to her fans. At this time she is involved in a very busy filming schedule and is working long hours to finish her current project. It is difficult for her to commit to appearing at BuffyFest due to this schedule. We have spoken with her mother, Diane. She has made it very clear that Amber makes every effort not to disappoint her fans, and tries to avoid committing to anything unless she is as certain as possible that she will be able to attend. At this time there are no plans for Amber to appear at BuffyFest. If she does appear, it will be a pleasant surprise for all of us. We at BuffyFest sincerely regret this error and send our apologies both to Diane and Amber Benson. We are, of course, fans of Amber's as well and we regret any trouble this announcement may have caused her or her mother. Diane will be joining us to sell copies of the "Chance" poster and the accompanying DVD in the exhibiit room. We are looking forward to screening the film to help promote it to fans and are so grateful that Diane is able to take part in our convention. We apologize to the fans who were so excited to meet Amber and we hope to invite her again next year.

With her shooting schedule she is reluctant to commit to other things. She can't really control when they will need her on the set, and she doesn't want to disappoint her fans. Luckily, San Diego is quite close to LA, so she could decide as late as saturday morning to come down. ...and Amber was a wonderful guest at BuffyFest. She is soooo nice and soooo friendly with her fans! Practically all I heard at the 'Fest was how beautiful and gracious Amber was...of cause a fair amount of that was from me!
